My wife and me bought a Venu 2s today, which we immediately registered at https://www.garmin.com/en-US/account/register/productregistration.
I could successfully add it, it was not said that "the product has been already registered", but after the registration the page https://www.garmin.com/en-US/account/products/ says that our Venu 2s was "Added December 30., 2021.
Since we bought the product as brand-new, moreover from an official Garmin dealer listed by official, national level Garmin importer, and the box was sealed, I do not know how it could happen that somebody had already registered this device before. Again it was not said as refurbished or "already unboxed".
It is evident that after the original registration made on 30/12/2021, the device has been removed from that other account.
I do not know what to do, because the watch shows no wear at all, so normally we would simply keep it.
But on the other side I do not want any potential debate with Garmin in the future in case any warranty issue happened between 30/12/2023 and 03/02/2024 (note: we have 2 years warranty in my country for this product).
Is it simply enough for me to keep the sale receipt dated as of today to prove the date of purchase? Or I will maybe have problems, because Garmin will considers this 30/12/2021 as the first date of purchase?
Is anybody around who already had the same sort of story and knows how Garmin handles it?
