Issues with Sleep Tracking and Body Battery

No matter what my wife does, the body battery on her device never goes above about 35 and her sleep tracking seems to be way off as well.  She averages 8-10 hours sleep a night and usually she will be told that her sleep score is no higher than 40 most days...

On the other hand i have a Fenix 6 and i can get 5 hours sleep and be told my sleep score was 70

Is there much/anything that can be done to fix this?

  • I had the exact same problem!  It annoyed me no end.  In my case I think it was reading my stress levels incorrectly which then disproportionately alters the sleep score and body battery.  When I compared my Venu 2 to my Venu SQ, the SQ would show rest most of the night for stress and the 2 would show  low, not rest which then gave me a poor sleep score.  This was even when my duration, REM, Deep and restless scores were all good or excellent.

I decided for $350 it wasn’t worth it and returned it.  For now, I’m just using the Venu SQ.

  • This sounds like the exact same issue. Garmin were unable to help resolve it I take it?

such a shame, as my wife loves the device otherwise

  • Get it touch with the support or return the watch(if still possible) and get another one.

Maybe it's just a defective one because i don't have those issues.

  • I’m seeing identical behavior with mine as well.  It needs to be fixed. I have an Oura ring that consistently gives me optimal sleep scores yet the Garmin will consistently rate my score as poor, presumably due to “low” stress scores while sleeping, even though I feel fully rested.
