Next Venue 2 series firmware update, stamina

Just recently saw a number of reviews on the epic line of watches and the Fenix 7. Garmin has introduced a new live workout feature called stamina. Basically it will show your potential stamina or how much energy you have in the bank. This future seems like it would be extremely helpful during my workouts. I hope Garmin will choose to update the Venue 2 watches with this feature.

  • Venu series is missing many of training features from Garmin...i doubt they will make the stamina feature on Venu series.

  • I'd say that's extremely unlikely.
Why anyone would trust their watch over their own feeling is beyond me, though. If I'd trusted Recovery Pro on my Polar Vantage V2, I'd be dead now (not really, of course) CryGrin.

  • That's a different story...but in case of garmin they tend to make different watches for different contexts and with different features.

Stamina feature looks like a training one and more for watches like forerunner or premium ones like fenix/epix.

Venu series is more for general fitness(HR, stress, sleep, etc...)

Considering how they separate all those features, Venu series is lucky to have VO2 max but i guess it's because majority of smartwatches offer it.

It's not something hardware related of course...just a choice from Garmin.

  • I've watched those reviews too and the Stamina feature looks cool and something I would love to see on the Venu 2 (I know, I know). "Training Status" (Recovery) is something I'd like to have even more!
