Garmin 2S vs SQ stress, sleep and body battery differences

I’m happy with my Venu 2S when it comes to steps, HR, activity tracking, GPS but when you compare the year I wore the SQ compared to the month I’ve been wearing the 2S, day after day, night after night you’d think I’m really sick with a disease or something with the Venu 2S.  It never shows a body battery above 35 in the morning, it shows mostly low stress at night instead of restful and in comparison at least half of the restful stress hours that my SQ gets in a day. Night after night it shows a poor sleep score even though my deep, REM, light and overall sleep is excellent but my stress score is low instead of at rest during the night mostly.  This seems to really negatively effect the sleep score.  It’s also dropped my fitness V02 max score by two points since I started wearing it. Ugh.

I’ve been trying to talk myself out of sending it back but when my $149 SQ does a better job with these parameters (since I’m not ill, exercise every day and sleep well) compared to the $349 I paid for the 2S I think I may just have to.  Every day I get super annoyed when I look at those parameters when it tells me what great sleep I got and then gives me a terrible sleep score.

Has anyone else noticed these parameters just being super low?

  • On my Venu 2 i'm ok. I get also 100 body battery when i sleep 8 hours or more with a low stress score(we are talking about 10/12 or lower like 7/8). But it really depends on the day...sometime i reach 5% and sometime i stop at 20/30%. Sometime(rarely) i wake up with 5/10% but it's when i really sleep just few hours and maybe after few drinks.

Venu 2(s too) got a new sensor compared to sq or other watches so it should be more accurate.

If you feel the watch is defective, get in contact with garmin and see what they say.
