Having owned an old Forerunner 305 for many years, I recently took the plunge into smart fitness watches with a Garmin Venu 2 (swapped from Samsung Watch 4 given as Xmas present - terrible GPS).
I have enjoyed the daily steps function (and nudges to get moving), especially Mon to Fri at work as my job is fairly sedentary.
There is a big discrepancy between steps achieved at the weekend and during working week (many more at weekend), but the auto function doesn't seem to pick up on this and has increased my weekday target to 12500 (from 10500) !
This is not achievable really, so in the end I have set manual target of 10000 per day, which I can achieve at work (with regular walking breaks) but will easily surpass at the weekend.
Is there a way to set different targets for different days (without having to set manually each day) eg 10000 Mon to Fri and 12500 for weekend ?
