Venu 2 Software 5.38 bug

After updating to 5.38 I have a persistent error.

The clock wants to continuously update the GPS software. It seems to be a continuous loop here. After the update of the GPS software comes the message continuously again and again and that for days.

I’d plug it into a laptop and sync to Garmin Express. See if that takes care of it.

I had a conversation with Garmin support a few hours ago. It was recommended that I do a reset.

I have performed the reset as described.
After the clock has then downloaded the updates again, then the same error is again present. The clock wants to install the update for the GPS again, which it also does, but it no longer comes out of this duration loop. This is the current state.

The watch is again in the same state as before the reset, same error.

What is the next step now?

I'd try syncing with garmin express. Often it will give you more information if there is an error and how to fix it.

Did they have you do a hard reset before the reset of the watch? I would do this also. Hold down the A button until the watch turns off (past any emergency assist notifications if you have that turned on). After a few seconds press the A button to turn it back on.
