Can't delete a device app

I have an app where when I choose uninstall it appears to be removed from the watch but it actually stays there. The developer says it is a Garmin bug and the only fix is to "reset the watch". Any suggestions? If I do a reset I believe I will have to redo all my customizations, yes?

You can see in the reviews that someone commented that it can't be uninstalled and they said it is an IQ bug.

There is an issue with the Connect IQ mobile app at times where it can't uninstall apps. But this app doen't show in the glance loop and only in the activity loop.

Long press the lower button, tap on the gear at the bottom, Then tap on Activities & Apps, scroll down to this app, tap on it, and them "remove and reorder" Then on the left side, tap the red "X".

Bummer. It is gone from my watch but listed in Connect IQ as one of my active device apps.

I was having the same issue with a different app (Barcode Wallet: github.com/.../Barcode-Wallet). "Remove and reorder" didn't quite work for me. Doing that removed the app from my watch initially. But it was still showing on Garmin Connect, and when I reconnected my watch to my laptop in Garmin Express, the app reappeared on my watch. Instead of tapping "remove and reorder", tapping "delete from this device" in the watch activities and apps settings worked. Now it's gone from my watch as well as Garmin Connect.
