Software update 5.33: heartrate and pulseox not working.

Hey 

I have a problem. Last night I received a garmin venu 2s for christmas and everything seemed to be working fine. During the night it installed the 5.33 software update and since then the heartrate en pulseox sensors stopped working. This means that almost all health features are not working. Very frustrating sinds i only have it less than a day and i don't know how to work it really well. Can someone please help me get my watch working again?

  • restart, and if that does not work, soft reset

    if that does not work, hard reset and setting up the watch anew (dont forget to delete the device from your phones bluetooth connections)

    if that does not work it seems to be faulty and you will have to return it

  • Same problem here! I recently found out that the sensor software didn't update... So it doesn't work anymore...

    Are you from Germany? 

  • I am from Belgium. After using it a bit more i noticed that it is not only the sendors thet are not working but also the notifications and probably some ather things that i al not using jet.

  • I found this message in the forum, but it has been postet 2 months ago. You may think, they have solved the issues in the meantime...

    Thank you for your contributions to this thread.  We have not been able to reproduce this internally, but may have found a solution that works for some units, but not 100% of the time.  Please try the following:

    • On the watch, go to Menu > Settings > System > Software Update
    • Next, check Menu > Settings > System > About > SW Versions > Scroll down to "Sensor Version"
    • If "Sensor Version" is showing 0.00, please tag me and answer the following:
      • May we, if necessary, have permission to email you?
      • May we, if necessary, have permission to view/access your Garmin Connect account?
      • In what country do you live?

    If you do NOT see 0.00 as your "Sensor Version", please hard reset your device and then sync with Garmin Express.

    • To perform a hard reset, press and hold the power button on your watch.  Ignore the "Power Off" question and the assistance alert (if applicable) on your watch, just continue holding the power button pressed down until the screen goes blank.  Once this occurs, you may release the button.  Allow the watch to sit powered off for a few seconds, then you may power it back on by pressing and releasing the power button.

    I think I will have to contact garmin because it's showing me the 0.00 Software settings. But I hope it weil help you to fix it

  • It does say sensor version 0.00. Do I need to contact costumer service them?

  • I think so, yes. But exactly as you, I did get this watch yesterday as a Christmas present and so I'm just a newbe like you...

    It's so frustrating! 

  • I try to search for new updates every now and then and hope that the updates for the Sensors, heartrate etc. will eventually come, too. Perhaps it only takes time. But I doubt it 

  • in case you have a computer install garmin express on it and plug your venu to the PC. It should then do a complete check and install all newest software
