When will Garmin offer more 18mm bands?

I just purchased my new Garmin Venu 2S but I'm a little disappointed at the lack of band colors and materials. I was wondering when Garmin will have more options for the 18mm band. Are there any 3rd party bands on Amazon that I can trust? I'm afraid to trust a random band but really would like a leather band or something that looks a little dressier than the silicone for everyday use when I'm not exercising. Thanks!

  • I have the larger Venu 2 and have had good luck with Archer bands on Amazon. They have a nice leather one.

  • I haven't tried any 3rd party bands in the Venu 2 but I learned with the Venu Sq that Garmin pins are just slightly longer, so the 3rd party bands are too small. I risked it anyway, and fortunately I was at home when my watch came apart. Some of the larger band companies specifically say they are not compatible with Garmin. I have read of people using the pins from the Garmin bands and inserting those into the 3rd party band with no problems, but getting the pins is the issue there. It would be awesome if we could order just the pins from Garmin.

  • This was my fear. I had a leather band from Fossil (my old watch) which was 18mm and I thought it came out too easy while I was switching the band.

  • that is true, and not just for the Venu2/2s but for any other Garmin watch with quick release bands. I had a vivomove hr in the past and the 20mm band I bought on amazon simply didn't fit, the pins needed to be bigger. But it fitted any other watch that I had (Citizen, Fossil, etc.). Luckily for me, the manufacturer agreed to send extra pins for free on 2 different sizes that took a month to arrive from Hong Kong, but it ended up fitting the Garmin nicely.

Regarding the Venu 2s (which I now have one), I've bought leather bands from a brand called Fullmosa and they fitted perfectly, even though the quality is not the best around. But at least it was cheap, looks nice and I've been using it for about a month with no issue.

I also would like to have a more premium option from Garmin itself, like black or brown leather, because blue and white doesn't work for me.

  • I’ve tried numerous bands on amazon and most I’m happy to say have fit perfectly for the Garmin watches and have long enough pins.  A few however don’t and those bands tend to easily pop off.

  • I have read of people using the pins from the Garmin bands and inserting those into the 3rd party band with no problems, but getting the pins is the issue there. It would be awesome if we could order just the pins from Garmin.

I was going to suggest that too, myself I'm using noname band which was bought locally and it serves me well.

As for pins, Garmin sells them but only for Fenix and FR lines, I think
