Notifications and screen issue

Hi all.  My Venu 2 has been working fine for the month or so that I've owned it, until today.  Well, until this afternoon to be precise.  Before then the screen would wake up when I lifted my wrist and I would get the vibration (along with the screen turning on) when I got a notification.  Since a few hours ago both have stopped. No amount of movement of my arm/wrist is able to get the screen to turn on and I'm not getting notifications from my phone.  I can go into the notifications via the menu and see them there, but they simply aren't coming up as expected.

I've tried rebooting both the phone and the watch, but clearly it has made no difference.  Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.  Given that nothing else has change I can't understand why there is suddenly a problem like this.  The fact that the screen isn't turning on when I raise my wrist it feels more like a watch issue than a phone connection issue (which would obviously only impact notifications).

  • It almost sounds as if the watch isn't detecting its on your wrist. Do the green sensor lights come on when you put it on?

If not, try a hard reset. Hold the top button until the watch turns off (past the assistance function). Turn it back on. Also, you can try calling Garmin Support.
