Venu 2 Display Turns Off/Freezes/Crashes After 4.67 SW Update

V 4.67.

I noticed such a thing. The clock turns off by itself when leaving the house in the morning. My sequential steps:
1) wake up
2) I have breakfast
3) I do the synchronization of the clock from the phone
4) take the elevator down
5) get in the car
6) the clock is off.

Seen on all firmwares, incl. and at the last 4.67. And this problem only in the morning - already 5 times this happened!
There is a suspicion of one thing that leads to the shutdown of the clock:
- Morning FORCED synchronization after sleep - occurs exactly after sleep, tk. a new day has begun and garmin connect somehow does not work out this synchronization correctly. If after sleep it is forced not to do synchronization, but just wait for the clock to automatically synchronize itself, then the clock does not turn off during the day!

There are a lot of problems here on the forum that the clock dies and does not turn back on. I think that this is the problem for everyone.

LIFE HACK HOW TO TURN ON THE WATCH BACK:
Hold the power button for 30 seconds, then release it, then hold it again and the clock will turn on.

  • Please add me to your emails, Kevin. Also having crash & sync issues in the AM on a daily basis. Thanks.  @Garmn-Kevin

  • I've been having these crashes also.  When it crashes it drains the battery rapidly also.  This AM  I woke up and the watch was at 93%.  When I noticed that it wasn't coming on and forced a reboot the battery came back up only at 78%.  15% of my charge disappeared into the ether....

  • Same thing happened to me this morning…

  • Just got my Venu 2s and its was working fine for 2 days. Was not recording an activity and it just went black. I can see the lights on the back for heart and ox turning on and off but the screen is black. Trying to restart but not having any luck.

  •  Please add me to the list too. I’m having this issue on virtually a daily basis since the update. Sometimes more than once a day.

  • Hi, I am experiencing this problem as well, Venu 2, freezes with black / empty screen every morning last week.

  • I have the same experience. I bought my Garmin Venu2 6 days ago and it freezed twice after sleep in the morning. The first time I did not wear the clock during sleep, but the second time I did. It is very discouraging. I even think to return the watch. However, I suppose it is a software issue. Is there a chance to fix it as soon as possible? It is not very comfortable to unlock the clock pressing 15-30 sec. every morning.

  • Hello all! I have added a number of you to the case we have working for this issue. We have had other impact added from other users reaching out to us via Phone, Live Chat and Email. At this time, we have it escalated and are actively working toward a solution. Currently, I do not have an ETA for resolution, but I will be posting any updates to this thread when they are made available to me. Thank you for your patience with us while we work to resolve this issue.
  • Thank you for this.  I returned my original Venu 2 purchase, beliving that this problem was a hardware problem, opting not to send it to Garmin.  I have repurchased a Venu 2, and have used the "do not sync" "fix" and so far (2 days, knock on wood) have not seen the issue.

  • I have found that if you sync your watch to GC first thing in the morning, then switch the watch off and then on again it will not crash unexpectedly later. It’s worked well for me for the past 3 days. It’s by no means ideal, but an easy workaround until a new update arrives. Glances still do get rearranged occasionally however.
