Why is not auto pause available on cross country ski?

Question

I have been using Vivoactive 3 for a couple of years and found Auto pause very useful. Just bought a venu 2 and to my surprise this function is not available on all activities where gps tracking is natural. 
 
 Please enable auto pause on cross country ski and other activities that is similar. It is available to b bicycle, running, why not cross country ski?

Hello, as the first skiing activity this year was today I would like to refresh this request. I find it hard to understand why Auto Pause is not available on Cross country skiing on my Venu2 as like on my old Vivoactive. This function is even more practical when skiing as the buttons normally is not as available because we use more clothes and gloves in the winter.
