Venu 2/2s - Sony WH-1000XM4 not pairing

Hi. So I just bought a Garmin Venu 2s and trying to connect it to my Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. So far without luck. The watch is able to see the headphones and when I press to connect it says it’s connecting for a few seconds and then says failed to pair. I have tried resetting both watch and headphones several times and ensured the headphones are not connected to anything else, but nothing works. This is highly frustrating to say the least. Anyone has the same issue and/or know how to solve it?

  • Can you pair the headphones with your phone or other devices? I believe you mean WH instead of MH, I couldn't find the model with MH. However, I personally have the headphones for the work and they work with the watches. Full model name is Sony WH-1000XM4.

I have a different problem though and that's sound interruption while I'm in an activity that uses GPS, it loses sound every 3 seconds for around 1 second. I've discovered this problem with a Sony WF-SP800N too. They are my primary earbuds for running (bought them ahead of watches because the Venu 2 wasn't available in stocks back then).

Is there somebody who doesn't have a sound problem when using GPS with either WH-1000XM4 or WF-SP800N?

Could be a few things. Is there any chance these headphones connect to your Venu 2 as a footpod? Some of the high-end Jabra and jaybrid headphones can do this, but it causes issues with the sound as soon as you start a GPS activity. I took a quick glance at the manual but didn't see anything about this.

The other possibility is if you wear your watch on the right wrist this could cause an interruption to BT signal, especially as you start your activity and your arms are moving. The antenna for the headphones is on the left earpiece, so you might try wearing the watch on your left wrist if you aren't already.
