Venu 2 dead

Hello

Went to start a walking activity and the watch switched off and now it won't switch on at all

Tried connecting to wall socket and computer but nothing works

Not impressed as i've only had the watch a few weeks

Plus you would expect that something that costs so much would perform better than this

  • How long have you had it? I had one for less than a week, and it did the same thing to me, right after I turned off the DND function. Twice in 3 days, after a bit, I tried the "A" button for a few seconds, and it started the booting process, (triangle, and animation). I contacted Garmin, and they said that they wanted me to send it in,, but since I had it less than a week, I decided to get a refund and see what the new Samsung watch can do, but I would suggest contacting Garmin, it may be something in the Venu 2, or perhaps in the firmware. I had mine using the beta firmware, and if I remember, it started after I installed that.

  • This happened to me this morning.  I had charged the watch to 100%, started a Walk activity, and the activity appeared to start ok.  Then during the walk I looked at the watch to check the data, and it was completely black screen. Dead.  Nothing I tried using buttons and holds would wake it up.  Later when I got home I put it on the charger cord, at which time the blue triangle appeared as if it were starting up.  It also then asked me if I wanted to save that Walk activity, which it apparently recorded 4 minutes of and then cut out.  I have had the watch less than 3 months, and I have not installed the new Beta software.  This occurred suddenly and the watch had been working fine before. Not sure what is going on here but this is not good.

  • I spoke to Amazon from where I purchased the watch and I have managed to get it working again

I plugged it into the charger and held down both buttons until the blue triangle appeared and it now seems to be working again

Will text on a walk tomorrow as it's raining very heavily now

  • Mine died/crashed today too and this fixed it. I held down both buttons for a long time and nothing happened. I tried it again, and I saw the blue triangle and it turned on.

  • Are we beginning to see a pattern here?  There's at least two separate threads on this anolomy.  Does anyone from Garmin monitor these forums?  I hope so.

I had similar experience this morning. Was in bed and checked my heartrate etc… 5 min later completely black screen. No reaction. Put it to the wall charger and after a couple of minutes pressed the two buttons for a while. Then the blue triangle came up. The watch still had 90% battery (charged it yesterday), so no empty battery issue. I'm on the latest beta

  • My also not working , already made replacement and after few days stopped again working .

  • I have experienced the same with Venu 2. First, it was happened right out of the box (it came with 100% battery left on it). I ordered Venu 2 directly from Garmin. I even tried applying the latest beta firmware. It worked fine for 5 days and stopped responding. I lost entire night sleep records, etc.

The first Venu that I received from Garmin directly is working fine so far and I didn't experience the same.

I have contacted support and they were so responsive and processed a replacement. Hopefully, I won't experience this with replacement.

  • Just charge it.. but clean contacts before that

  • Hey there! I am sorry to hear this happened on your new watch. This certainly should not be happening. If plugging the device into the computer does not boot the watch up and this is happening consistently we would encourage you to reach out to your local Garmin Support.
