How to turn wrist gesture off on garmin 2s?

How do you turn OFF wrist gesture on venu 2s? It eats battery to have it come on every time I move. Can I set it so that it only comes on/ wakes up if itap it instead?

Yes. In system display settings turn off gestures.

Not sure why it’s eating battery. I have the gesture turned on to high sensitivity and brightness set to medium (during and not during activity). I charge my Venu 2S only every weekend - always lasts 7 or 8 days and that includes at least 3 GPS running activities of about an hour each time. My wife’s is the same. We don’t use AOD or Pulse Ox tracking.
