Venu 2 Incident Detected -- Dog Attack

Hello Garmin Community,

Last week I went out on just my second run with my new Garmin Venu 2 and wouldn't you know it, I had the, ummm, distinguished opportunity, to test one feature of the tracker I honestly hoped I'd never become familiar with, that of the incident detection.  I was just winding up a nice slow 7-mile trail run when I ran past a house maybe a quarter mile from home; a house I've run by for years.  What was different last Monday was the fact they were having a new pool put in and some significant upgrades to their surrounding landscaping, and this in turn meant the "invisible fence" which typically kept their two very large dogs (over 300 pounds total weight) in check.  Yeah, not a good scenario.

I faced off against the largest of the two, however, the other one circled around and bit me hard on the back of the knee; that much I remember.  The next thing I remember was waking up in the street feeling very woozy and bleeding from my right leg.  The dogs were no where in sight and the owner was helping me up; she suggested she take me to a hospital, but I really had no concept of how badly I'd been injured and instead asked her to drive me home.  I remember going inside and taking my shoes off, and then the next thing I remember is waking up in our friendly neighborhood ICU, some 30 hours later.  Apparently I effectively lost my mind and became, lets just say, very unruly; the paramedics my wife called had a very difficult time getting me into the ambulance, and once in the hospital they had four or five (depending upon which story I was being told) burly security guards trying to hold me down.  The doctors opted to put me into a medically induced coma, and even that didn't initially work as I was so crazed I fought through the drugs; a full Fentanyl drip took care of that situation and was what allowed them to perform surgery on my leg and run me through a cat scan for my brain as I'd obviously suffered a Category 3 concussion.  Yeah, not a great day for me.

Here are the screen shots of what my Venu 2 recorded about the incident:

So, it looks like I won't be running again for a while, both to allow my brain to recover and to let my leg finish up healing (I get the staples out today).
