Potential Hardware Issue: B Button making "strange" sound

Just got a brand new Garmin VENU 2.

A little issue with the B Button is making me a bit nervous. It is hard to describe, but when pressing or even just wiggeling the B button, it makes a soft metalic creaking sound.... i dont experience this on the A button. Currently everything works normally, but I am afraid this could be a problem in the future....?

Anyone else is having similar experiences?

Should I just return it?

That's what I would do.

When I press either button on my V2 there's no sound other than a faint click.

Just FYI - I managed to get a replacement in the store I bought the VENU 2 from. On the new watch, both buttons feel solid and are working ok!

SIde story - while I was waiting for the staff to get the replacement…

it sounds like there is something wrong with a spring inside the chasis holding the button in place. an exploded-view drawing of the watch would help to understand better, but i have not found anything.....

i guess i will need to go back and argue about it.

Contact Garmin ... in my experience they are very cooperative when it comes to potential hardware defects.

maybe they will change your watch, contact local support and sheer with them this info..

Just FYI - I managed to get a replacement in the store I bought the VENU 2 from. On the new watch, both buttons feel solid and are working ok!

SIde story - while I was waiting for the staff to get the replacement and do the paperwork, I looked at other watches and played around with the new HUAWEI Watch 3 and was quite impressed by the look and feel of the software, the navigation in the menues, the screen and graphics... this pretty feature-rich watch comes the the same price as aa VENU 2. That keeps me wondering, if GARMIN and the VENU 2 actually has advantages....

Huawei watches are good but the inability to sync with Strava was a deal breaker for me. Ok if you don’t use Strava.
