treadmill stride length

I walk for an hour on my treadmill every night, if I select "treadmill" as my exercise it gives my stride length as 0.30m by default, which is about a quarter of my actual stride length Stride being 2 steps, step length being 1).  this means that in order to walk 1.5 klm's as per my watch I have to walk a bloody long way on the treadmill before I can even hope to see the calibration screen pop up.  As for "indoor walking", that's also pretty bad but at least at the 3.8 klm mark the watch finally ticked over 1.51 klm's.. and guess what, no calibration pop up.  I've tried setting the stride and step length manually but I guess thats only for outdoor walking because it made bugger all difference regardless of how high i cranked up my stride length.. i just wanted to be able to calibrate it to my rather expensive home treadmill that I know is going to be accurate in regards to distance travelled.

Can I suggest a future update, that when you adjust the distance travelled AFTER the exercise in your phones app that it also adjusts and calibrates your stride length ?  Outdoor walking's fine. but this other treadmill stride/step is annoying, I mean, what 182 cm tall man has a 30 cm stride length .. and thats set as default !
