Trying to add Venue2 to my Garmin Express collection

Replaced my watch VA3 with Venue2 and only trying to add it to me GE devices collection. Non of these subgroups have the V2 and the Search is just going on and on...at least charging the battery. In the watch system settings I was looking for any hidden switch if maybe I need to change there anything but not seeing/recognizing.

    If you're using Windows, do you at least see the watch as a connected device in Windows Explorer? Are you running the latest version of Garmin Express? Currently 7.7.1.0.

    Yes, GE just updated itself when I open it. When I plug in the Venue W10 beeps, unplug beeps again but different melody. But no, the garmin device doesn't show up in Explorer as a drive or device (most likely somewhere internally there is a command what to do when USB is plugged in, in this my case = charging). I cannot recall seeing anywhere in settings what to do with a plugged in USB

    Which version do you have? The latest version is only accessible by going to the Garmin Express download page.

    When you press Windows key + E you do not see your Venu 2 under "Devices and drives? If not, then this leans toward there being a hardware issue. I'd try using a different USB port on the computer, a known working Garmin USB cable (some cables will not carry data, only charge), or a different computer.

    I just wanted to check what version I got yesterday with the GE update, and interestingly just offered me to update again to 7.7.1.0

    It was a watch charging stand, I need to look into the box where I left the original garmin cable...makes sence what you saying.

    Also I found in the Venu2 Settings/System/USB Mode currently is in MTP (Garmin is inactive) I think one more thing to play with...

    Edit: Yes, the original garmin cable did the trick, the Venu2 was added to the list.
