pool swim profile problems

Hello, I am having problems with the pool swim profile.  I am following the directions on page 27 of the product manual exactly.

First problem: when I hit button (A) to stop the activity timer, and then hold (A) to stop the activity, it does not stop.  Instead I get a screen showing me a code number for connecting to the mobile connect on my phone.  The watch gets frozen on this screen.  I have only gotten out of this screen by hitting (A) again and again.  Then it goes back to the activity and starts a new lap. The end result of this is that the watch appears to be stuck in some kind of software loop which is nearly impossible to escape from.  Very frustrating!

Second problem: there is only one Data Screen for the pool swim, and there is no way to create another one.  The one data screen shows the lap time and the heart rate.  There is no heart rate zone gauge screen, which I really want to see.  This profile needs to have more data screens to be more useful.  I think this can only be corrected with a software update. 

Also, the minimum pool length is too large for a typical backyard pool.  Can this be fixed so smaller values can be entered?

Has anyone else had these problems?

    You can customize the pool swim data screen.

    Tap the ^ at the bottom of the main screen (the one that says )Ready - Pool Swim) That brings up "settings"

    Tap Settings,

    Then tap "Data Screens",

    Then tap "Screen 1"

    Then tap "Layout"

    From here, slide up or down through different layouts, scrolling up and down, for layouts containing from 1 to 4 fields.

    When you are happy with the number and layout of fields (regardless of what they currently display), tap the screen to accept that layout.

    Then tap "Edit Data Fields"

    Then tap any of the fields displayed, and then choose any of the dozens of fields available to show for that one slot.

    You can download many extra "Connect IQ" data fields using the Connect IQ app, if the many pre-loaded ones are not enough.

    And, if that isnt customizable enough for you, you can download entirely new activity screens from ConnectIQ.
    I particularly like the "SwimSports+" and use it as a replacement for the default "pool swim" - and it is extremely customizable too.

    Yes, VERY disappointed that the pool swim only has one data screen. yes aware you can manage and edit the data FIELDS on that single screen but why not have multiple screens like you would with the run activities or the fenix's. 

    Does anyone recommend a better IQ APP? (i'll try swim sports+, but also shouldn't HAVE to get these IQ apps, unless you WANT extras, this is a simple function :(
