Frequent beeps during workout

I just bought a Venu 2s and did my first workout (it was a 5-minute benchmark run for a 5k training program with a Garmin coach). During the run, I had my headphones paired to the watch in order to listen to a podcast. During the whole run, however, I got frequent beep-beep sounds (two short, low-pitched beeps) about every 20 seconds. It interrupted the podcast playback and made it unlistenable. Eventually I stopped the podcast but the beeps continued. Once the workout was finished, the beeps stopped. I even resumed the podcast at that point and it played fine.

I've looked through all the settings I can find and can't figure out why it was beeping. Any idea what they are and how to stop them?

  • I figured this one out. Turns out I had my headphones (AUKEY something-or-other earbuds) connected to both my phone and my watch. When I went running, the headphones were beeping to let me know they lost connection to the phone. If I disconnect them from my phone first, everything works fine. Alternately, if I forget, then I have to turn the headphones off and back on, then reconnect them to the watch.
