I can't update from version 3.34 Beta to 3.40. Downgrading from 3.34 to 3.24 doesn't work either. The GUPDATE.GCD file disappears from the Garmin folder.
I followed this steps:
Installation Instructions:
1. Connect your Venu 2 to your computer using the USB cable.
2. Download and unzip VenuTwo_334Beta.zip. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file into the \GARMIN directory of the device.
4. Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish.
If you need to backdate software to 3.24, rename GUPDATE_324.GCD to GUPDATE.GCD and place the file in the GARMIN directory.
***NOTE***
Back dating software will clear all settings on the device
