Volume controls on venu 2? Do they work?

Venu 2, SW version 3.24

Ive paired the watch with my Specsavers/Advance/Unitron bluetooth hearing aids, as well as my Sony WH-1000MX3 headphones. 

Listening to music on the Venu 2 (my own mp3's downloaded through garmin express) - sounds great.

However, when I navigate to the volume control screen ( the one with two speaker icons, one on top with two little sound wave bars, and one on the bottom with one little sound wave bar - the assumption is this is where I adjust volume..). tapping on either icon does nothing. Pushing buttons exits the screen. Swiping up or down does nothing.

Ive tried with gestures enabled and disabled. I can't get that volume adjustment screen to do anything at all - in fact I cant do anything on the watch at all to change volume.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

    Maybe press and hold the icon does something instead of tapping?

    Apparently whether this screen works or not depends on the bluetooth device it is connected to. I guess I can understand it not working with my hearing aids (which is a shame, because thats how I intend to use the watch 95% of the time when I am biking or walking outside... soooo convenient!) but not working on the Sony WH-1000MX3 is not acceptable, because that is the recommended SONY device on their "recommended headphones" page.https://support.garmin.com/en-SG/?faq=Ei9hOoQIVL1UsQLQqm21G8

    If it doesn't work on the Sony Headphones they specifically recommend (one of the two best noise cancelling headphones in the world I might add, surpassed only by the newer model, the WH-1000MX4) then something is wrong.

    Hi.  I have found that for each use (I think it resets after each power-off, maybe daily) you first have to select the music source:  Press-hold button B (bottom) > scroll and select the Settings gear > scroll and select "Music" > scroll and select "Music Providers" > scroll and select "My Music" (watch storage)

    Happen to me also with jabra earphone.. seem like the volume control ONLY 'one' way. Control from the earphone device then can see ui from venu sq responding. 

    At the moment cannot control from the venu sq.
