Can anybody that moved from the original Venu confirm if the raise to wake speed has been improved? Thanks

Very annoying is the fact that the way even the normal Garmin watchfaces show up is slow too. Totally unnecessary. Like an animation which starts to slowly brighten up. Very annoying.
When I turn my wrist…
The speed of the raise is very fine. The slow bending in of the time, aka animation, is not. At least to me and several others. The watch reacts just fine but why make it worse with this animation stuff…
I feel like the wake speed is fine when you lift your arm. What is not OK to me is that if you twist your arm without lifting it does not always wake. However I have found several faces with AOD where the low power face is the same as the high power face (just less bright) so I don't really notice this very often any more.
I agree with Zange. I never used this feature until recently, where I've been using it only during activities. I find during my activity (walk, yoga, cycle) I turn my wrist to look, and it starts to show up immediately. However, the animation is so slow I have have to stare at the display until it gets bright enough for me to see it. Smooth animation, but please give us an option to speed it up or turn it off. I end up staring at my wrist instead of looking where I'm going.
A better option (for me) would be a data field that looks like an analog watch with distance and heart rate on the screen. then I'd just leave the screen always on during activities. I don't like leaving it on looking like a grid of numbers.
