No sleep tracking 2 of the last 4 nights

Although I do find the sleep tracking to be more accurate than my Vivo 4, I am concerned because I have now had 2 nights out of the last 4 where the watch tells me it did not record any sleep tracking. Has anyone else had an issue? Any suggested fixes, ?

  • I seem to think this happened to me when I reset the sleep hours to end at an earlier time so that the watch face would come on when I got up earlier than the planned sleep hours. I have discovered since that when you click on the sleep glance during sleep hours it gives you the option to say you are done sleeping. I have not had this problem since I started using that.

Thank you.  The one difference is that my wake time that I set in the watch is 8:15 and since I have only had the watch for a few days, this was the first weekend with it and the first time I slept in.  So, I changed the wake time to 10am to see if that helps.

Last night it was still set to 8:15am and when I woke at 9:30 and looked at it, it said I only got around four hours of sleep and said I went to bed at about 5:45am.  I went to bed around 1am.

I'll try the adjusted wake time and see if that helps.  If not, I'll probably take back the watch.  Sleep tracking was one of the reasons I got it.

  • Happened to me too, found workaround..just open watch and press sleep info, watch sync automatically and sleep comes to app.

    Happened last 3 days..

I beileve syncing with the app is required in all cases.  In the experience I had, syncing made no difference.  The next day where it didn't track the entire night, it synced with the app but even in that case it wasn't correct.

So, this was not a workaround in the two cases I had.  But thank you.

  • My works everyday if i just check sleep info on watch, then look in app and it will directly show up..

If I dont look on watch, no sleep info in app at all...

  • May I reach out to you guys to grab some information for a case to escalate to our engineers?

  • i can assist, as i have written several times, it just started some weeks ago, i sync watch after wake upp, no sleep info comes up, but when i  look at watch sleep info is there, when i touch sleep info and watch to open the stats, it immidately starts a sync on watc, i see it starts in app, and voila! it is there.

Some morning it comes as it should, but mostly i have to do this manual steep that icludes to look at sleep stats on watch to get it into app stats.

Sure, feel free to reach out.  What I have determined at this point is that it has a lot to do with the pre-set sleep and wake times, mainly the wake time.  If the wake time is set "before" the actual time I wake up (if I sleep in) then the algorithm has problems determining the actual sleep time.  If however the wake time is much later and I wake up earlier and I don't tell the watch to stop tracking sleep (by clicking on the sleep stats on the watch and clicking the checkbox saying I'm awake), then it has problems determining when I went to sleep.

I think the key is to keep a wake time that is much later than what you think it should be, and then when you wake up, go into the watch, click the sleep stats (where it will say that you are still sleeping).  The watch will then ask you if you are awake and then you click the watch to confirm that you are now awake.  So far, that approach has seemed to work the best for getting around this problem.

Yes, that is exactly what I am doing as well.
