venu 2 cannot connect to wifi

My new venu 2 will not connect to wifi, so there are a few important apps that will not work (music, pay, etc). I have tried the work arounds by connecting through garmin express or using my phone as a hotspot, but nothing works.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hello all! This issue has been resolved with software update 5.27. If you are seeing this issue after updating your watch's software to 5.27, please start a new thread.

The new update (5.18) which fixes that error is a manual beta update. Please see the post at the top of the Venu forum for the update and how to install it. It will not update automatically through Connect…

I had the same problem

Try to use different names for your 2.4GHz wifi broadcast and 5GHz, the watch is only able to connect to the 2.4 GHz wifi

I fixed the problem, you have to manually download the 5.18 update and connect your watch to the PC using the charging cable. The clock is recognized as a storage medium so that the individual folders can be opened separately. The 5.18 is a beta version, but it fixes the problem and you also get 4 new watch faces. The file is a zip file. Unzip the file and save the GUPDATE.GCD file in the Garmin folder. Copy the GUP370500.GCD and D853500.zip files into the RemoteSW folder. Disconnect the clock from the PC and an update will be offered to install, agree and the problem is a thing of the past

I am not familiar with the operating system, but I also assume that zip files can be extracted and copied to folders

It should work as any USB device connected to the PC. At least I hope so, I have only Linux machines at home :)
