venu 2 cannot connect to wifi

My new venu 2 will not connect to wifi, so there are a few important apps that will not work (music, pay, etc). I have tried the work arounds by connecting through garmin express or using my phone as a hotspot, but nothing works.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  • Same for me was working perfectly on previous version non beta just had the update to 4.67 and wifi fails with the error code 030

  • Hey all.  claims that Spotify sync is working.  Those of you who are running Spotify, is that still working for you as well?  How are you attempting to use WiFi when you do get this 030 error?  Adding a WiFi network?  Syncing an activity via WiFi?  I'm sending you all requests for info so that we can investigate this issue further.  Please take a video of the process you are taking on your watch to reproduce this error and include that video with the other information for which I am asking in the email.


  • 030 error message shows up when selecting "SOFTWARE UPDATE" in "Settings" --> "System"
    error message does not show when updating Spotify Playlist 
    (behavior stays this way also after removing and readding the wifi)

    (even though -  in all honesty - with that price tag that GARMIN is selling the VENU2, i would have assumed that this paid an internal Q&A team....)

    I am no longer able perform Wi-fi Sync or do Software Update from the watch. Error is:

    Unable to connect to Wi-fi . Error code 030.

    Testing the Wi-Fi from within the Connect app works fine. I've tried to forget the network and reconnect via Connect. That connection is successful, but neither Wi-Fi Sync nor Software Update work from the watch.

  • Exactly this is also my problem.

  • same problem here, with 4.67 everytime i try system update, i get 030 error. 

  • For me an update was stuck in the sync que.

    Solution: on connect web page, in the top right corner, select your watch, remove everything from que and sync again.

    (for Venu2, it was an animations update 1.11)
