Hi there,
Can someone please confirm whether the Venu 2 has a smart alarm feature built in?
Looking to be able to set an alarm window and have the Venu 2 wake me up at the optimum time during that window.
Thanks in advance.

Optimum how? More sleep is optimal, so the optimum time is always at the end of the window. Any claims otherwise are pseudoscience.
Regardless, there is no such feature on the Venu 2.
Thanks for taking the time to reply - much appreciated.
There are some apps you can install from IQ Connect. I will link two I have seen, but not tried; therefore I cannot comment on their effectiveness, but it should provide you with a starting point. Let me know what you end up doing about a smart wake system. (1) Smart Sleep Tracker & Alarm (2) SmartWake PRO. It stands to reason that if there are third party apps that can do this, Garmin should have the ability to create a native function that can work in the background. Hopefully they'll get around to it sooner rather than later.
There is a great app
It allows to do almost everything with dream phases, smart alarm is only one of them, the program can help even with lucid dreaming. It's amazing!
It has support for Garmin watches, I've been using it with Amazfit with great results, but, unfortunately, Garmin declined developers to get the Bluetooth API and ignored developers for years.
Sleep As Android developers have writen a workaround and if you want to test it you can do it:
First, get familiar with Sleep As Android application, second, go to https://sleep.urbandroid.org/garmin-beta-watch-app/ and decide if you want to test Garmin workaround support.

There is a Connect IQ smart alarm app you might wanna try out.
I've edited my reply so there are only two links to Sleep As Android link.
