Sudden Decrease in Intensity Minutes

I've been tracking my Intensity Minutes on my Venu 2 Plus for the last three years.  In all that time, I've almost always made my target goal.  Now, in the last month or so, it seems I'm unable to reach that goal.  My workouts are the same.  My exertion levels feel the same.  I haven't changed any settings on the watch.

Has anyone else noticed this? Has anything changed on the Garmin end with their software?

Thanks, Leon

  • I have noticed the same thing.  My primary activity is Lap Swimming and my Intensity Minutes have decreased by ~50% in the past couple weeks.  I also have a Venu 2 and have had it for a bit over 3 years.

  • While there hasn't been any major software upgrades in a while, I do notice my watch does have some type of software upgrade periodically.  However, I can't find what's being upgraded.

I can't help but wonder if one of these "upgrades" changed the Intensity Minutes calculation.
