I'm incredibly frustrated with the ongoing issue I'm facing with my Garmin Venu 2 Plus. The watch straps on both sides keep detaching unexpectedly — I've come close to losing the watch five times in under a month. At this point, it's simply not reliable to wear.
I initially assumed it was a strap issue, so I replaced them, but the problem clearly lies with the watch casing itself. The lug holes have worn out or widened over time, and now the quick-release pins no longer stay in place. I even tried using a 21mm pin to compensate, but it's too long. What I actually need is a 20.5mm pin, and that doesn't exist.
I reached out to Garmin support, hoping for a reasonable solution, but was essentially told to either live with it or pay $300 CAD for a casing replacement on a watch I already paid $600 CAD for. Frankly, that’s unacceptable. I expected better long-term durability and customer care from a company like Garmin. Right now, I’m stuck with a premium smartwatch that I can’t safely wear.
