Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out for advice on an issue with my Garmin Venu 2 Plus. I’ve submitted two warranty claims for incorrect floor‑count readings, but both were denied by the retailer (a major Czech electronics store).
Until recently, I used the watch mainly for lifestyle features—heart rate, notifications, Garmin Pay—and occasional activity tracking, focusing on steps and heart rate. A few months ago I started monitoring floors climbed and noticed a dramatic spike beginning in January 2024: for roughly 10 000 steps, the watch now reports an average of 45 floors, up from about 9 floors previously.
I’ve already tried cleaning the watch (including the barometric sensor) and performing a factory reset, but the problem persists. I also found a similar thread on the Garmin forums for the Venu 2:
Floor count is through the roof - Venu 2 - Health & Wellness - Garmin Forums
To illustrate the error: on days when I barely left my one‑story apartment, the watch still logs at least 10 floors. My walking routes haven’t changed, so this points to a firmware or hardware fault.
My first warranty claim “solution” was another factory reset, which did nothing. My second claim was flatly denied. Garmin CZ support said they can’t help because my unit wasn’t sold through Czech distribution.
I’d really appreciate any advice or opinions on how to proceed—thanks in advance for your help!
