Automatically cancellation of activity during break longer than approx. 20 minutes

When I start a hiking activity on my Venu 2 Plus and then pause it during a break, the activity ends automatically after about 20 minutes, and after that I have to start a new hike. Is this normal or is there a setting I can adjust? Thanks!

Okay, it's a pitty for real. Do you know whether the Venu 3 is having the same problem? I really do not understand whats that difficult to make the brake individual..

When I hike I keep the tracking turned on during a break because it breaks down total time and moving time within the Garmin Connect app. Although I'm using the Gpsmap 66sr when I hike, I'm assuming tracking with the watch will have the same breakdown in the Connect app after it syncs.
