Update 19.05 issues

Hi Team,

After updating to 19.05 all the sensors went down, GPS is not functioning and the battery decreased massively. The watch became practically useless from the training perspective. Could you provide any solution ot the problem?

    I have the same issue. After updating, the watch needs to reboot, in a loop... 

  • I have the exact same issue. None if the sensors is working...

    The green light indicator on the bottom of the watch is off. This has to be software related :(

  • Same issue on my end. After updating my Venu 2 to 19.05 the watch is not counting steps, HR monitor is off and the watch doesn't wake up from the usual movements like raising arm to look at the wrist.

    Additionally the watch seems to be stuck in a sort of update loop. There's constantly an update available. Once proceeding to install the watch reboots, but the update doesn't seem to take any effect. After restart the watch is still on version 19.05 and nothing is really working.

    Tried so far:

    • Turn off HR monitor and restart via holding top button
    • Reset while keeping data
    • Reset + delete all data
    • Enrolled into beta program and tried to update. No effect

    None of this has helped :-(

    Full SW version overview:

    • SW Version: 19.05

    I recommend reaching out to Product Support through their website at Garmin Support directly to report the issue. 

  • The sensor version as of the 19.05 release should be 27.16, something has gone wrong with the software on your device when the release was being installed. Try Using Garmin Express to Update Your Watch's Software and if that doesn't work reach out to Product Support through our website at Garmin Support directly to report the issue.
