My Polite Vent - Why does the Vivoactive 5 have features that have not been added to the Venu 2 Plus?

Don't get me wrong. I love the Venu 2 Plus, but I feel ignored and basically jipped. I paid a lot of money for this watch. Then, they come out with the Venu 3 with new features. I understand that part. What I don't understand is how they can add features to lower ranked and priced watches that should be added to the Venu 2 Plus. Am I the only one?

True, but that supports my argument that a $450.00 watch with the necessary capabilities hasn't received an update with features that they have put on a more basic watch.

The venu 2+ also has stuff that can never be added to the va5 - the va5 doesn't have the hardware for the speaker, the mic, or the baro altimeter.

With no baro, there is no floor counting and elevation info viewed on the watch can be way off. You also can't see the internal watch Temperature. That's provided by the baro.

I think you misread Jim's reply (or did I?). Which features? Also, the Venu 2 Plus has ECG, which is not on the Vivoactive 5.

Agreed, Garmin feature segmentation is strange sometimes.
