Venu 2 plus face won't rotate

Hi my new venu 2 plus face will not change from left to right wrist side. It actually says it's changed it in tha app  but the screen does not flip like it does on my vivoactive 3. So it says it's in right hand orientation but it's still in left handed mode.  If I go into user settings on the watch itself it again says it's in right wrist mode despite it being in left handed mode! It has the latest update to 15.2 and syncs with the Garmin app but the screen doesn't flip!  as you can see here despite it saying it's in right hand mode the buttons are on the wrong side as the screen hasn t flipped.

  • Hello,

On the newer models, the screen does not flip. The wrist setting is used to set the dominant wrist for accurate tracking.

  • Ahh right ok I honestly thought it was broke. It's strange that it's not even an option. It makes it easier to access settings when I'm out running and have a jacket on if the buttons are on the hand side rather than the arm side! I take it there is no intention to implement this?

  • I haven't heard as of right now. However, it is a great suggestion! Be sure to submit it here.

  • I am extremely disappointed that this feature is missing from my new Venu 2 Plus and will likely return it if no improvement is in sight. Which Garmin models still support this?

  • The va3 is the only Garmin where you can flip the display.  It had some side effects as I recall, such as the compass was 180 degrees off unless you re-calibrated when you switched.

  • In over 5 years of use I never noticed any such problems with my VA3. I am right-handed and began by wearing the watch in the conventional way, on my left wrist with the button on the right. However, I soon had problems with accidental activation of the button and reconfigured it to be on the left. For a while I would occasionally wear the watch on the right wrist in order to wear a more conventional watch on the left. After equipping the VA3 with a Fixo-Flex band (the European predecessor of Speidel's Twist-o.Flex in the U.S.), I began wearing it alternately on my left and right wrists (without changing the button direction). Because I found it far superior to any analog watch, I soon stopped wearing it with another watch, but found it nice to be able to  wear it right as well as left.  In particular, it is easier to use Garmin Pay when I wear it on the right wrist, because many NFC payment terminals in my region have their sensing antennae on the left side, and none have them on the right side.
