Venu 2 Plus Software Update - 15.20 ISSUE

I'd like to open this new thread about the issues of this firmware version. I have already seen the battery drain that you just closed, but this is not acceptable: I had the same problem on my old venu 2 where I opened an unresolved ticket << Ref: 24103806K1 >>; thanks to Amazon, I "replaced" the venue 2 with 2+ (because you/your support didn't consider the replacement (under warrinty=^) of the watch or part of it, and neither consider a battery calibration procedure.

however, those are my issues after the upgrade:

- BATTERY DRAIN: with regular use battery changes duration from 5/6 days to just 40h; I don't want to undermine my watch functionality like you suggested in the previous thread and TIPS, just because something is wrong on firmware; just fix it by your side, please.

- SWIM ACTIVITY: I'm unable to log interval stroke bpm, basically nothing in the activity.

- BIKE ACTIVITY: almost the same as swim, I can record the altitude, but not other GPS data like distances or map or speed.

I ask other guys on the forum to collect all the issues in this discussion and I'm sure that we are all available to help you to better understand and fix all.

P.S. The watch is almost new, purchased just in May; so I expect good battery health overall. I have already done a reset and soft reset and I will not uninstall the few apps that were already installed also when the battery life is good. so, please, let's analyze all issues and release a firmware upgrade that fix all.

  • garmin support just said to send them the watch...they will check it in 15/20 days

    This is unusual. I've sent watches back before. They never said they will "check it in 15/20 days." Unless you are maybe dealing with the retailer or you're in a country where support is outsourced.

    If you don't want to be without the watch for that long, they do have the "immediate exchange" option, whereby you can give them a deposit on the replacement watch. They will immediately send you a watch, then refund your deposit once they receive your old watch. Again, this might depend on your country and whether or not you're dealing directly with Garmin.

  • I'm in Italy, they didn't talk about immediate exchange (and I didn't ask because I didn't know).

    they said the check is "just" 10 days the rest for the delivery to and from them!!! I think that it's however useless because there is no physical or hardware damage....

  • You had any luck with the firmware?  I'm seeing the same issues since updating to 15.20 also

    still in 15.20 general version. still battery drain in 48h. almost like an iwatch.. Disappointed

    It's a bit better here with 16.11 firmware with battery drain.

    I can maybe reach 3 days or some hours more.

    It is not the best and a half of 7 days declared by Garmin.

    thanks to if they reported something that should be corrected.

  • I'm having the extreme battery drain issue as of a couple weeks ago, also started after a software update. Watch barely lasts 2 days. I'm currently on version 16.11, though I believe it started with the update before that.
