Optical HR stopped working

I purchased a Venu 2 plus just short of a week ago, completed the set up and everything worked fine. Sleep tracking, HR, GPs ect.

I noticed yesterday (day 5 of owning the watch) that the watch didn't track my sleep, I put it down to it simply not picking up I had slept. I put the watch on charge later in the day and since then have noticed it doesn't flash green on the sensors and now doesn't track my HR either.

I have checked the settings in case I had accidently changed something maybe while sleeping - All settings are correct

I have cleaned the sensors

I have reset the watch twice

I have connected to the computer to see if there was an update

I have no other option but to now return the watch and wait for a replacement. Not the start i wanted since upgrading my smart watch and moving over to Garmin as recommended by friends. Hopefully my watch is just a one off and i don't have this issue with my replacement.

If you have experienced this issue I believe there is no fix, i spoke to Garmin support  on the phone and it seems as if once this happens there is nothing possible to get it back working

  • This happened to me once, on an older generation Venu. Garmin Support got it working again, I think by having me do a hard reset. It's worth a try. Press and hold the top button. Keep it pressed, you'll see it saying it's ready to send an assistance message. Keep it pressed until it turns off. Then turn it back on.

    I've just gave it a go, unfortunately to no success. Worth a try though. I have a replacement lined up and hopefully my current watch is just a one off with an issue as a £350 should work for a lot longer than 5 days!Joy
