Kitesurf activity in Garmin Connect but not on my watch

I am trying to add Kitesurf as an activity option on my Garmin Venu 2 plus, because I can see it in the Garmin Connect app after I record a session and manually edit the activity in the app. Is there a way to add an activity that is in the app but not on my watch?

I assume kitesurf is similar to kiteboard? Currently only the latest fenix, epix, and Instinct 2 series watches offer kiteboard as an activity profile.

Kiteboarding is indeed the same. Strange that it is available in the Connect app, but not on the watch, i.e. that there is no way to upload it.
