VO2 Max Update

Hello,

In the past, my VO2 Max would update every time I walked my dog. It's usually a 2 mile walk in about 35 - 40 minutes. The updated number displays when I stop the walk activity. However, the VO2 Max number hasn't updated for 10 days (since 4/16) and I've at 8 or 9 of those days. Any suggestions?

Thank you. It looks like I haven't been getting to 70% of maximum heart rate for long enough. I'll check some older walks to see what they look like regarding heart rate.

I am not sure that the garmin's version of VO2 Max does make any sense at all. for me, it shows a perfectly constant value (with regular updates) for 2 years now, with very different fitness level and exercises load.

it is just probably a random number, based on your gender / age and on your neighbour's phone number.

So much for my theory. I got a VO2 Max calculation today even though the time at 70% heart rate wasn't enough. Maybe I got one because it's been a month since the last one.

I got another VO2 Max calc today. Interesting that I got two in a row, right after a software update. I believe it stopped giving me calcs after the previous update. Coincidence?
