Notifications delay?

How long does it take for you to get your notification on your watch after your phone? When I got it last friday out f the box it was within a few seconds I would get the notification to my watch, today all notifications are taking 15 seconds to get to my watch. Does anyone know why this may be? I am new to garmin but have had many smartwatches in the past. I haven't rebooted yet because I just wanted to see what ye all experienced people say. Also haven't rebooted because sometimes repairing after restarting either my phone or watch can also be finicky. I think an update just came out though that isn't available for me yet, but either way a few days ago notifications were almost instant, now a full 15 seconds(timed).

I've had all the pertinent apps set to *not* optimize battery on my pixel 7 pro already, but I turned off battery adaptation all together to see if that helps and it still takes 15 seconds.

I may have to return this and go back to wear OS. Trying to sort out the notifications problem so I rebooted both my phone and venu and now I can't get it re-paired. As far as I'm concerned I shouldn't have to re-pair them at all, never mind that I can't pair it. I forgot it in bluetooth settings and trying to reconnect and it keeps saying, "can't communicate with venu 2 plus".
