No AOD active .

Dear Venu 2 Plus Users ,

prompt - please - what could have happened ?

I turn it on in "Display Settings" - "Continuous Display" / "AOD" ... and unfortunately I still have this function disabled .

The watch is still in the "Wake up with the movement of the wrist" function .

I would like to add that I have disabled functions - "Battery Save", "Sleep" and "Do not disturb"

. ... what is ? ... damn it takes me  :(  .

I am asking for advice / help .

Best Regards - Marcin .

  • Hi, is this on a particular watch face? Which one? AOD does not keep everything on the face turned on and what stays on varies from face to face. Or maybe I am not understanding your issue?

  • Dear AI P ,

thanks a lot for the answer and for Your responsiveness in genera l.

From the content of the answer , it is clearly visible that You understood my problem very well .

Of course , I know that not every dial gives the possibility of AOD and that after extinguishing to AOD ,

some information disappears (e.g. some sensitive data) .

I use a Garmin watch face - set up in my watch in the "Watch Faces" Application

and the "Sky Living" from Connect IQ downloaded .

After setting "Always On" / "Wake-up with Gesture" / "High Sensitivity" /

... the watch worked properly - that is, the AOD functioned correctly, i.e. fading worked ,

some elements, e.g. the second hand - disappeared ... but after about two hours

... AOD stopped working ... and as if it "switched" into the "Wake-up gesture" function  :( .

    ... I will "play"  :))  my free time , maybe I can find "something" :) .

My Best Wishes - Marcin .

  • Ohhh OK... that does sound like some kind of bug Disappointed

  • With AOD display there are limits as to what can be shown.  For example. no more than 10% of the pixels can be on at one time.  What's displayed may cross that limit.

for example, 9:01 could be less than 10% but 19:01 isn't.  Do things stop at about the same time every day?

  • Dear @jim ,

I was able to "fix" / diagnose the problem .

Namely , the watch, while synchronizing with the phone / Garmin Connect ,

retrieved sleep data that was entered - probably by default - at 10 - this one I fall asleep :)),  6 - this one I wake up :)) .

I have never set these hours because I do not use the watch while sleeping .

I changed the time of falling asleep to 23rd and waking up to 7th ,

synchronized the new settings with the watch ... and ... AOD ... WORKS !!!

    Hurray ... I'm Great! :))

    Greetings - Marcin .

  • Hello,
I got my Garmin Venu 2 plus and I am suffering this issue. My AOD goes off unexpectedly and don't come back.... how is it possible this issue isn't fixed?
    Is it "watchface related"?

  • If you are using a 3rd party CIQ watch face then yes it is probably that. Does it happen with a stock face?

  • As fool as it sounds…it seems the strap wasnt tight enough ^^… Thanks for replying!
