Watch thinks phone calls are still active

Hello World!

I discovered the problem because multiple times a day the audio notifications stopped working, a reboot did always fix the problem.

But now I think I found the real reason for the problem:

--> After having hung up on a call on the phone itself (call was also picked up on phone and never on watch) the watch quite often does not realize that the phone call is already terminated.

--> This results in audio signals not being played anymore.

--> Also when changing to the phone menu the long finished call is still being registered as active.

--> In that state I can also not initiate any new calls via the watch because I always end up in this active (but already hung up) call on the watch. Pressing the "hang up" button on the watch screen also does not work.

Out of 10 calls maybe every 4th call is affected by this problem. Switching bluetooth off/on on the watch solves the problem for the next few calls.
Quite annoying...

Is this bug already known? Any steps on how to solve the problem (watch is on latest SW 8.12).

Any advice appreciated...
BR, Georg

  • I had the same thing happen to me today. It's the 3rd or 4th time it has happened over the past 2 months. Answered call on phone, but had no audio because the watch showed up as the connected Bluetooth device. Switched phone setting to speaker, completed the call, then hung up on phone. Venu 2 Plus kept saying call was active. Checked phone, but it had properly disconnected call. This kept happening until I turned Bluetooth off then on - on the phone.

  • I think this is fixed in the latest beta.
