Where is Airplane Mode?

I'm trying to configure the controls on my Venu 2 Plus and the manual clearly states that there is Airplane Mode (first in the list here):

https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/GUID-A17FE8AC-DA32-4494-ABD1-AD1A388CC0C0/EN-US/GUID-700E76C4-F7E2-4984-8199-D59D6A31DFB9.html

But when I go to add a control on the watch, Airplane mode isn't there. This is really important to me, as I want to be able to switch off all wireless connections, and it's a dealbreaker if I can't do that, and the fact that the Venu 2 Plus lists it as a feature was why I chose it over the other Venu models.

Am I missing something here? If it's not featured on the watch, why is it in the manual?

  • Thanks Spenstberg, I saw that thread a few days back and they were talking about the Venu 2s, and that doesn't have Airplane Mode - it's not in the Venu 2s manual. However, the Venu 2 Plus lists Airplane Mode in it's manual, and that's why this is confusing me.

Are there any Venu 2 Plus users out there that can confirm if Airplane Mode is an option or not? I know it's not there on the default controls, but according to the manual, you should be able to add it to your controls (as you can with Forerunner models).

  • It’s not not an option that I have. You have to delete one of the existing controls for the option to + another to appear, but Airplane Mode is not listed.  Bluetooth off is there and that’s probably good enough when on a plane as WiFi is only used in a small number of specific use cases.

  • Thanks for checking Nick. I contacted support and they told me that it doesn't have Airplane mode and that it is a mistake that it's listed in the manual, so they'll update the manual accordingly.
