Health Snapshot - Needs graphs to show data over time

Related to a similar question over in the Venu 2 forum:  https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/venu-2/271265/health-snapshot

There needs to be a way to see multiple days worth of Health Snapshots so that trends can be identified.   Just seeing the daily data isn't very useful.  I mean, yes, I could go put it in a spreadsheet myself, but most of the other data offers ways to see 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, etc.   Health Snapshot should have the same options.

  • Yes, I agree! Good pointing this out

  • + 1.

This is missing from Venu 2 plus and Garmin Connect, but there is a potential in all activities for presentation if you have the right equipment. Doh!.

Garmin - Major failing on this important statistic.

  • I am not sure that there would be any use of such kind of graph.

The health snapshot is a momentary snapshot of rapidly changing data. You measure it 10 minutes later, it will be totally different. The only reason of this to exist at all, that you have all different data at once.

Also, you probably won’t use it at all after a while, because spo2 is basically a random data between 90-100; the actual heart rate is usually useful only during exercises (otherwise, you resting heart rate is more important); resp. is something you never need to know (unless you are ill, then venu is not your device to measure that), so the only useful data is stress and hrv. These are, however, usable only if you have several measurement (I mean hundreds) a day, so measuring hrv / stress once a day is completely meaningless.

As meaningless creating any graph from that. That would be a junk in - junk out.

  • There hasn't been a lot of exposure on hrv until recently. It's more complex than the common knowledge circulating. I've been using hrv as training guide. The watch I used was called morpheus. Not a smartwatch just and advanced sensor.

The more hrv data you have increases the accuracy. Using a graph you can mark out progressions and retool routines to prevent any performance dips.

If you follow the ufc, Demetrius Jonson uses hrv as a training guide too. It's a very powerful measurement. A graph would be very beneficial.
