Watch As Output For iPhone Telephone

I'm a recent Venu 2 Plus user and have it connected to my iPhone. I notice whenever I use the telephone part of the iPhone, the watch is an option for audio output.

Is there any way to disable this? I never want my phone to use the watch for audio output.

Did you get a response to this? Also frustrated by this...want to disable it if possible
