Lost sound alert after update to 8.12

Hello

I would like to know if anyone else experienced the following issue after having updated to 8.12:

I lost the sound alert on alarms and notifications.

To try solving this issue, I hard reseted the Venu2+ before having made sure that all volumes weren't mute and were properly activated. Interestingly, the sound at startup also disappeared. However, Assistant, Music and Pone work fine. 

Is this something related to the update?

    I just noticed this problem today when I tried using alarms for the first time.  No sounds.  Also no startup chime when rebooting.

    I went thru different settings with customer service and in the end, they are going to replace the watch under warranty.

    I am on 8.12 but unfortunately, I don't know if I had this problem prior.

    Hi,

    I experience the same thing, after a random time sound alerts (new message received, water notification, on the watch cease to work).

    A restart of the watch fixes this problem for me, but after some time (usually 2-3 days) the problem comes back.

    Is there any update on this from Garmin side?

    My replacement watch for Garmin came in this weekend.  I powered it up and configured it just like my original.  It works fine.  All the system and alarm sound it should make, it does.  In my case it does appear to have been a hardware issue.

    I had this issue.  Was looking forward to an actual alarm sound and not a vibration.

    Switched watch off and on, tested the alarm - it works.

    Start up, alarm and notification sounds all working again.
