I accidentally ended up in test mode and one of the screens was an ECG which did nothing until you touched the bezel with a finger then showed a trace. If the watch is capable does this mean a future software update will activate ECG mode??
I must have held the power button on too long? I only got the watch today. It started with a qr code and in trying to get out of it managed to find the ecg mode. There were many different tests ranging from colours to connectivity etc. i managed to get out of the mode and turn it on normally. Just got me thinking, the watch must be capable.
I can’t, as my watch auto updated itself to 7.4 the first night (it would be nice to have a choice please Garmin) and it’s no longer in the test mode.
But it was just a black screen with some text in the bottom half and a line in the top half that when you touched the bezel turned into a heart rate trace similar to that of the Apple Watch.
I just got my Venu 2 Plus and yes if you hold the power button on startup you can access the test menu and an ECG screen does come up. The line is straight and as soon as you touch the back bezel and front bezel you get a heart graph appearing. As soon as you let go it goes back to a straight line.
