New Venu 2 Plus - Stuck on SW 6.12

I feel like I'm missing something easy here, but my Venu 2 Plus says the SW version is 6.12. I try to update but it says there are none available. Are we not on 7.40 at this point? Any ideas?

Are you in Asia (KOR / SEA)? I think your region server does not support SW 7.40 (North America and Europe)

I think it's tied to hardware as well. I tried to use VPN to change my location, but my watch can't be updated to SW 7.40. By the way, SW 6.12 still some issues. It's annoying.

The SEA software ids generally updated 3 to 6 month qfter the US release, which is really ridiculous!

I Think the Latest firmware for the ASIA model is 6.12 which is kinda ridiculous. They should let everyone update to the new firmware simultaneously. Spotify does not sync with firmware 6.12 beside many other bugs. Also so many new features are not available on 6.12. Hope Garmin allows people to update to the latest firmware without limiting where they bought it from. Apple does not do this.

Thank you both for this clarification. I guess that would be the problem. I'm actually in Indonesia. I guess the follow up question would be, IF I was at my home in the US, would I be able to update then? Or is it tied into the hardware as well i.e. I brought my Venu 2 Plus in Jakarta, am I always bound by these geographic rules? Thanks again.

Thanks for confirming. I tried VPN as well and it did not work. I'm happy to know the situation now. But yes, it is a bit frustrating. Thanks again.

Looks like there was a small SW update last night. My Venu flashed something about an update this morning when started my session. Going back an looking at it shows 6.13 up from 6.12. I would assume something minimal.
