Why No Swimming Drill Mode?

As a swimmer and user of Garmin's watches (currently 645 Music, but 735xt, Fenix 2 previously), why is the Venu 2+ and the other newest watches that support lap swimming with stroke detection and distance counting lacking the dedicated drill-logging mode? I don't get it. Kicking and drill sets are a core component of any swimming workout and the drill modes keep the workout tracking complete.

I wish the Garmin developers would indicate why such an essential feature is missing from these nice, new feature-filled watches that are targeting the active users, such as swimmers, but not completely.
