Lily2 distances when running are wildly I accurate

  • Hi,
  • I have a lily2 watch that connects to my Garmin Connect App (Apple Watch) to record running distances and I always take my phone with me.  The stats are wildly inaccurate eg when running park run this morning it recorded that as 6.5 km instead of 5km. Therefore all timings and laps are wrong. Is there anything I can do? I am beginning to doubt any information the watch gives me Disappointed
  • My Lily 2 also shows inaccurate distances, adding 8% to all my runs (eg. a 5.15km run shows up as 5.6km and so on).  I contacted Garmin and they said it's "working as intended" and not a fault. Sorry to say there's no fix! We can hope they might push out a software update at some point if enough of us complain...

  • My lily has started doing this too, today’s run I did with my partner was 4.2km and my watch logged it as 2.3km taking 11 mins to run each km apparently… wildly frustrating.

  • Mine is doing the same, logged a 4.2km run today as 2.3km and all the stats are as if a snail completed the activity… annoying when it’s linked to partner apps like Strava! Can’t seem to fix it, I read online you can manually input cadence/stride length but surely that then makes it all inaccurate anyway.

  • In Strava if you go on the desktop and select an activity for advanced editing, you can use 'Correct distance' to fix wrongly reported GPS data. I've discovered that the Garmin Connect app is logging the GPS correctly but for some reason adds 8% when displaying it.

Sounds like you have the opposite problem though, with distances being shorter. Maybe a different bug.
